Twitter Launches "Buy" Button With New Pornographers, Eminem, Ryan Adams, Pharrell, Death From Above 1979, More
Twitter is launching a way to purchase music and merch without leaving the Twitter app on your phone. They’re currently testing out an in-app “buy” button with an initial group of artists including the New Pornographers, Pharrell, Death From Above 1979, Eminem, Ryan Adams, Wiz Khalifa, Paramore, Megadeth, and Soundgarden, and organizations including GLAAD, DonorsChoose, Global Citizen, and (RED).
This new service will offer music and merch that will be exclusive to Twitter’s Android and iOS apps, according to a press release. The idea is that an item can be purchased with a few quick prompts.
The “buy” button launches today “for a small percentage of U.S. users (that will grow over time),” the press release says.
