U2 Pays Tribute To Paris Attack Victims with Patti Smith

While performing a tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks tonight, U2 brought out Patti Smith for a performance of “Gloria” (from Horses) and “People Have The Power” (from Dream of Life), Billboard reports. U2′s set at AccorHotels Arena featured a giant French flag composed of the names of the victims, as viewable in the pictures below. Watch the performances below.

Bono and Patti Smith recently performed this same medley of songs in London. Since that time, Bono told the Irish Independent, “We stand together with the families who lost their loved ones in Paris. We stand together with families in San Bernardino. We stand together with families in Beirut and Istanbul. We stand together before those with false ideologies of the god they serve.”

Beautiful tribute to those who are not with us anymore. #U2ieTour pic.twitter.com/jO8Lt61Kfr
