Watch Aesop Rock’s New Video “Get Out of the Car”

Aesop Rock has dropped a new video for “Get Out of the Car,” a track off his 2016 album The Impossible Kid. Directed by frequent collaborator Rob Shaw and featuring illustrations by Coro, the song and video are a tribute to Aesop’s friend Camu Tao — the rapper passed away nine years ago today after battling lung cancer. The two-minute clip features a stark, black-and-white performance by Aesop as sketches of Camu and other lyrical imagery pop up in the background.

“Camu was entirely singular as an artist and human,” Aesop stated in a press release. “You may notice those who knew him speak of him often still — his presence, humor, imagination, energy, and impact.  It’s all still right there. I hope some of you that may not be familiar go check out his music. This man was something special.”
