Watch Arcade Fire Record Their Festival Audience For a New Song

Arcade Fire headlined Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans last night. During their set, the band took a moment to ask the audience if they’d like to be on their new record. Frontman Win butler sang a melody and asked for the audience to sing it back to him en masse. Watch it go down below. The band also worked in Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbusters” theme into the end of “Rebellion (Lies)” off Funeral. Watch that below as well. Elsewhere in the set, Butler lambasted oil company BP for its role in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill that affected Louisiana.

The sample Arcade Fire apparently plan to use on #AF5.
