Watch Arcade Fire’s Surprise Performance Outside the Louvre

Arcade Fire’s Régine Chassagne and Win Butler participated this week in a new exhibition by French street artist JR, “JR at the Louvre.” They were scheduled to perform a free DJ set but, as NME points out, wound up inviting percussionists along to their brief set at Jardin des Tuileries. Below, watch them spin David Bowie’s “Oh! You Pretty Things,” and Sinead O’Connor’s recording of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” with Régine dancing around as she decks out the stage with security tape. Update (10:18 a.m.): The band also played a new song.
