Watch Dave Chappelle’s New Netflix Trailer, Soundtracked by A Tribe Called Quest
On March 21, two new Dave Chappelle comedy specials premiere on Netflix. One is called Dave Chappelle: The Age of Spin (filmed at Los Angeles’ Palladium in March 2016) and the other is Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas (Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin in April 2015). Today, Netflix has shared a new trailer for the specials. In it, Chappelle makes jokes about ISIS, O.J. Simpson, and more. It’s soundtracked by A Tribe Called Quest’s amazing “We the People…” Check it out below.
A third Chappelle Netflix special is planned. Chappelle’s last special was 2004’s Dave Chappelle: For What It’s Worth. He hosted “Saturday Night Live” in November, delivering a memorable monologue on Donald Trump and the legacy of Barack Obama. He also brought back several “Chappelle’s Show” characters. A Tribe Called Quest were the musical guests that episode.
