Watch EL VY Perform “Return to the Moon” on “Live at 9:30”
“Live at 9:30” is a new public television show filmed at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club. It combines live performances, comedy, interviews, and short films. The first season will feature performances from Jesus and Mary Chain, the Arcs, Youth Lagoon, Ibeyi, Garbage, and more. Hannibal Buress, Henry Rollins, and more will be contributing hosts. In the first episode, EL VY—the collaborative project of the National’s Matt Berninger and Menomena/Ramona Falls’ Brent Knopf—play the title track from their 2015 debut album. Watch their performance and see a poster for the first episode (designed by Sophie McTear) below. “Live at 9:30” will air weekly beginning May 28 before taking a short summer break, after which the series will conclude.
