Watch John Cale, Animal Collective, the Libertines, More Play The Velvet Underground & Nico
Tonight, John Cale performed the Velvet Underground & Nico’s classic debut album at the Philharmonie de Paris. The set included the entirety of The Velvet Underground & Nico, in random order, as well as songs from White Light/White Heat. Cale was joined by special guests throughout the night: Animal Collective, the Libertines‘ Pete Doherty and Carl Barât, Mark Lanegan, Etienne Daho, Lou Doillon, and Lemon Jelly’s Nick Franglen.
