Terrence Malick’s latest film Song to Song is centered on Austin, Texas’ music scene and features a whole bunch of musicians, including Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, John Lydon, and others. In a new clip from the movie, Lykke Li and Ryan Gosling play ex-lovers and duet on Bob Marley and the Wailers’ “It Hurts to Be Alone.” Gosling plays the song on a Casio keyboard. Watch it go down below via Billboard. According to the credits, their version of the Bob Marley song was produced by Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich.

Song to Song is about two couples (Rooney Mara, Ryan Gosling, Natalie Portman, Michael Fassbender) who “chase success through a rock‘n’roll landscape of seduction and betrayal,” according to the film’s description. The movie premiered last week at SXSW and hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on March 17. A previously released clip shows Patti Smith giving advice to Rooney Mara.
