Watch Megadeth, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Josh Klinghoffer Cover Soundgarden and Chris Cornell

Megadeth, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Sour, and Ann Wilson (of Heart) are among the artists to have covered Chris Cornell’s music last night. They join the ranks of musicians paying tribute to the Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman, who died yesterday in an apparent suicide. Below, watch Megadeth take on Soundgarden’s “Outshined,” Stone Sour do the same song, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Josh Klinghoffer take on Temple of the Dog’s “All Night Thing” and Cornell’s “Seasons” (his Singles soundtrack contribution).

In addition, watch Wilson cover “Black Hole Sun” with the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” house band Cleto and the Cletones. “It’s important now to keep thoughts of Chris positive. He is on his way. We loved him well, now wish him well on his journey. He was and is a beautiful soul,” Wilson said of Cornell’s passing in a statement.

Seattle’s Space Needle also blacked out for one hour to commemorate Cornell. See video of it all below.
