Watch My Morning Jacket Cover Prince's "Purple Rain," "Sign o' the Times," and "Raspberry Beret"

On Friday, My Morning Jacket played New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. During their set, they paid tribute to Prince by covering his “Purple Rain.” At another show a couple days earlier, they also covered “Sign o’ the Times” and “Raspberry Beret,” in addition to “Purple Rain.” Watch them play all three below, via Consequence of Sound.

Upon Prince’s passing, Jim James tweeted, “[Prince] blew more minds in 57 years than most of us could in 57000 lifetimes. eternal love,respect,and gratitude to one of the true greats.” He also reflected on seeing Prince in Austin, “crying and screaming and singing and dancing along in a state of pure loving madness bliss.” He added, “God bless you prince for all the beautiful love and funky weirdness you gave the world we are eternally grateful and will be dancing to you and singing along until the end of time and beyond.”
