Watch Senator Tim Kaine, a Replacements Fan, Jam With Tommy Stinson

Shortly after Hillary Clinton picked Sen. Tim Kaine as her running mate, news broke that the vice presidential candidate (and life-long harmonica player) was also a Replacements fan. Sen. Kaine presumably got to live out a dream when he jammed with the band’s original bassist Tommy Stinson, Consequence of Sound points out. Below, watch Kaine and Stinson jam on “My Dear Old Southern Home,” a bluegrass staple. “Amazing Saturday jamming with @tommy_stinson in Richmond,” Kaine wrote on Twitter, along with a quote from Bash & Pop’s “Anybody Else.” Be sure to watch out for Kaine’s harmonica solo around the 2:30 mark.

Throughout the presidential campaign, Kaine flexed his musical muscles. He shared an extremely solid Spotify playlist, discussed salient issues with Pusha T, and temporarily changed his name after listening to Chance the Rapper.
