Watch Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings’ New “Please Come Home For Christmas” Video
A posthumous video for Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings’ “Please Come Home For Christmas” has been released. The song appeared on their 2015 album, It’s A Holiday Soul Party! Produced and directed by Alex Howard and David Hatter, the visual is a stop-motion claymation that tells the story of a man who attempts to reunite with a loved one during the holidays. The video was planned and completed before Sharon Jones passed away last month, after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. Earlier this month, the late artist was honored in memorials in her two hometowns: Brooklyn and Augusta, Georgia. Miss Sharon Jones!, the documentary that chronicled Jones’ first battle with cancer, will come to Netflix on January 7.
