Watch Spoon Play New Song, Cover David Bowie, Prince

This past weekend, Spoon members Britt Daniel and Alex Fischel played Festival Marvin in Mexico City. During their set, they debuted a new song. They also paid tribute to Prince and David Bowie by covering the former’s “Under the Cherry Moon” and the latter’s “I Can’t Give Everything Away.” Watch their performances below, via Stereogum.

Following Prince’s death in April, Daniel reflected upon hearing Sign “O” the Times as a teenager in a heartfelt Instagram post. Back in January, on the day following Bowie’s death, Daniel covered “Never Let Me Down.”
