Watch the 1975 Bring Out Mayor, Police for Manchester Tribute

The 1975 paid tribute to victims of last month’s Manchester Arena suicide bombing at the city’s Parklife festival this past Saturday. During their headline set, singer Matt Healy brought out Manchester’s mayor, Andy Burnham, and members of the emergency services who responded to the attack. “We’ve all spent a lot of time mourning, since what happened,” Healy told the crowd, having praised Burnham’s response to the attack. “But this is a music festival and we’ve had a lot of silence. Now, we’ve decided we don’t wanna have a moment of silence. We want to do a moment of noise.” See footage below.

The festival also hosted Frank Ocean’s second live set since the release of Endless and Blonde. Head here to see clips of his first, at Northside festival Saturday night.
