Wilco Detail Alpha Mike Foxtrot Rarities Box Set, What's Your 20 Greatest Hits Collection

Wilco previously announced plans to release a greatest hits compilation and rarities box set in honor of the band’s 20th anniversary. Now, they’ve detailed both releases, which come out November 17 via Nonesuch.

Alpha Mike Foxtrot is a four-CD or four-LP (or digital) box set of rarities and live recordings. It comes with liner notes that include track-by-track notes from Jeff Tweedy, along with notes from the band’s Nels Cline and John Stirratt and archival photos. Find the tracklist here.

What’s Your 20 is a two-CD (or digital) collection of the band’s “essential tracks” taken from their eight studio albums and Mermaid Avenue, their collaboration with Billy Bragg. Find the tracklist here.

Both collections were produced by Cheryl Pawelski, who produced similar sets for Big Star, the Band, and Townes Van Zandt. In a press release, she described Alpha Mike Foxtrot as “an alternate history of the band, kind of a sideways view.”

Wilco have also announced Winterlude 2014, a six-show residency at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre that will feature a different set list every night. Those join a handful of other previously announced anniversary shows. Check out Wilco’s full schedule below.

Additionally, Wilco have announced an appearance on the October 27 episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
