Wolf Parade Announce New EP

After the tracklist and artwork surfaced on Amazon earlier this week, Wolf Parade have confirmed that their lengthy hiatus from making new music will end next week with the release of a new EP. The untitled release (which is also being listed as EP 4is out May 17 via the band’s Wolf Parade Productions. It will be available on download and streaming services, as well as on 10″ vinyl in limited quantities at the band’s shows and on the band’s website. Wolf Parade’s new EP arrives following the deluxe reissue of their debut album Apologies to the Queen Mary, out today on Sub Pop. On May 20, they’ll perform material from the new EP on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

Boeckner briefly described the band’s new music in an interview with Exclaim earlier this year. “There’s a heavy glam vibe on the new stuff, which I’m really diggin’,” he remarked, adding that one track in particular “kinda reminded me of early Queen and The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack.”
