Yo La Tengo Announce New Covers Compilation Murder in the Second Degree

Yo La Tengo have announced a new compilation of covers, Murder in the Second Degree, as Stereogum points out. Like their first collection of covers, 2006’s Yo La Tengo Is Murdering the Classics, the new release consists of on-demand covers that the band performed on independent radio station WMFU during fundraisers for the station. (Listeners would phone in with requests, and the band would attempt to play them by memory. Results varied.) And also like the first one, the new compilation does not come with an announced tracklist—but you can check out the darkly humorous cover artwork below, done by Adrian TomineMurders in the Second Degree is available to pre-order now.
