Yoko Ono Announces Reissue Project

Secretly Canadian and Chimera Music have announced they are partnering to reissue Yoko Ono’s musical output from 1968 through 1985. The Yoko Ono Reissue Project will span 11 studio albums, remastered and constructed in recreations of their original vinyl packaging, complete with unseen photos and content from the album’s recording sessions. These particular albums will also be available digitally for the first time, according to a press release. The first set of albums to be reissued through the new project will be be Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins (1968, with John Lennon), Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With the Lions (1969, with John Lennon), and Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band (1970), all out November 11 via Secretly Canadian and Chimera.

More releases are scheduled for 2017. The remaining albums to be reissued are: Unfinished Music No. 3: Wedding Album (1969, with John Lennon), Fly (1971), Approximately Infinite Universe (1973), Feeling the Space (1973), Season of Glass (1981), It’s Alright (I See Rainbows) (1982), Starpeace (1985), and A Story (1997, recorded in 1974).
