Yoko Ono Hospitalized

Yoko Ono was rushed to the hospital tonight in New York. Though initial reports indicated that Ono was found unconscious at her apartment after suffering a possible stroke, Ono’s representative Elliot Mintz told the Associated Press that she was hospitalized for flu-like symptoms on her doctor’s advice. He added that she will likely be released from the hospital shortly, possibly as soon as Saturday. Update (2/27, 12:18 a.m.): Yoko Ono’s son Sean Ono Lennon has tweeted that his mother “is FINE.” He says that she was just tired and dehydrated. See his tweets below. Update (2/27, 12:40 p.m.): A representative for Ono confirms that she did not have a stroke and is “fine.” Update (2/27, 6:16 p.m.): Sean Ono Lennon has tweeted that his mother is back home “and running about as usual.” He says that she just had the flu. Ono was taken to New York’s Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital. Her husband John Lennon died at the same hospital after being shot in 1980.
