Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys and the Arcs will release a new solo album in the spring, Rolling Stone reports. The album, which he calls a “history of everything I love about music,” features a tribute to Rick Rubin, as well as one feature apiece from Mark Knopfler and Duane Eddy. Death Grips’ MC Ride Hosting Solo Art Ex...

Stefan Burnett (aka Death Grips’ MC Ride) has announced a new solo art exhibition, as Spin points out. The show (called Solo Exhibition) opens on January 7 at Los Angeles’ Slow Culture, and runs until January 28. According to the gallery’s listing, it is his first solo showcase. Burnett has been selling acrylic paintings on his personal website since the beginning of 2016. Death Grips released two projects this year—Interview 2016 and Bottomless Pit. Alphonse Mouzon, Drummer for Weather Rep...

Alphonse Mouzon, the prolific jazz and fusion drummer who played in Weather Report and the Eleventh House, as well as with Herbie Hancock and other jazz icons, died on Sunday, the New York Times reports. The cause was cardiac arrest, according to his son Jean-Pierre Mouzon. Alphonse had been battling a rare form of neuroendocrine cancer. He was 68. Mouzon’s major break came when he joined Weather Report, playing on their pioneering, self-titled debut LP in 1971.
