Pink Floyd Announce The Early Years 1965-1972 Box Set

Pink Floyd have announced the upcoming release of The Early Years 1965-1972, a 27-disc box set out November 11, as The Guardian reports. The box set includes over 11 hours of audio and over 14 hours of audio visual material, much of it previously unreleased. More than 20 unreleased songs and over 7 hours of unreleased live audio, along with remixes, outtakes, BBC Radio Sessions, and alternative versions of tracks will be included in the box set. Of particular note: Eight wholly unreleased, never-bootlegged songs with Syd Barrett dating back to 1967 are included. Several other Barrett songs that have only circulated as bootlegs will be released. A 2xCD version compiling highlights will also be released. The box set is divided into six volumes, each comprising a different set of years. The individual volumes will be released in 2017.
