Grizzly Bear’s Christopher Bear Scores HBO’s “High Maintenance”

Grizzly Bear’s Christopher Bear Scores HBO’s “High Maintenance”

Earlier this month, “High Maintenance” made the jump from web series to premium TV with its season premiere on HBO. The credits for the new season revealed that the score was made by Grizzly Bear drummer Christopher Bear. An HBO rep confirmed to Pitchfork that Bear “did do a lot of scoring but it’s spread out sporadically throughout the season.” The rep also confirmed that Bear’s music was used in web series episodes “Olivia” and “Sufjan,” but he did not score those. There are currently no plans to release a soundtrack for the show.

Earlier this year, Grizzly Bear started recording their new album–the follow-up to 2012’s Shields. They also announced that Christopher Bear has welcomed a new baby.
