Bryan Ferry Announces New Album Avonmore, Featuring Johnny Marr, Nile Rodgers, Todd Terje, Flea, Ronnie Spector

After a brief foray into The Jazz Age (including contributions to The Great Gatsby OST), Bryan Ferry has announced his latest studio album and his follow-up to 2010′s Olympia. The new LP is titled Avonmore, and will be released by BMG on November 17. It consists of eight new songs and two covers: Stephen Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns” and the Robert Palmer song “Johnny and Mary“, which was done alongside Todd Terje and featured on the latter’s recent It’s Album Time LP. In celebration of the news, Ferry has shared the tracklisting and album art, as well as opening cut “Loop De Li”. Listen below.

According to a press release, Ferry accrued a lengthy roster of notable collaborators to contribute to the album. In addition to Terje, Johnny Marr, Nile Rodgers, Flea, Ronnie Spector, Mark Knopfler and Maceo Parker all pitched in for Avonmore.
