Ride Releasing First New Album in Over 20 Years

British shoegaze pioneers Ride will release a new album next year. DJ Erol Alkan announced on his Instagram that he will produce the record, which Ride’s representatives confirmed to Pitchfork. The new album will be Ride’s first since 1996’s Tarantula; the band broke up that same year before reuniting in 2014. See Alkan’s post below.

Last year, Ride reissued 1990’s Nowhere for its 25th anniversary. Read “Ride’s Nowhere at 25 and the Evolution of Shoegaze” on the Pitch, and see where Ride placed on “The 50 Best Shoegaze Albums of All Time.”
