Danny Brown Soundtracks New “Dragon Ball Super” Teaser: Watch

“Dragon Ball Super” is the sequel to the beloved “Dragon Ball Z” anime series. On Saturday, December 31, a new English dub of the TV show premieres on Adult Swim’s Toonami (at 11:30 p.m. Eastern). Recently, the network shared a new teaser for the program, and it’s soundtracked by “Ain’t It Funny” from Danny Brown’s excellent new record Atrocity Exhibition. The trailer features a particular moment in the song that producer Paul White sampled from Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason’s “Wervin’.” Watch the teaser below.

Brown previously showed his affinity for “Dragon Ball” when he told a fan that, if he could be any anime character, he’d be the series’ Beerus. See where Atrocity Exhibition placed on Pitchfork’s “The 50 Best Albums of 2016,” and read our new 5-10-15-20 feature with Danny Brown.
