Last night’s tumultuous Oscars ceremony will not be forgotten soon. The headline story, of course, was the envelope goof that led to Faye Dunaway announcing the wrong winner for Best Picture: La La Land, initially announced as the winner, gave way to surprise victor Moonlight in a dramatic twist. Numerous artists took to Twitter to commentate on the night’s extraordinary events. Frank Ocean wrote “YESSS VIOLA” on Tumblr, celebrating Viola Davis’ Best Supporting Actress win; Adele posted an Instagram bigging up her friend Emma Stone and congratulating Moonlight; Questlove hilariously reacted to the events in real time. See all those and more below.

Similar to #DontThinkTwice, #LaLaLand explores issues of broken dreams deferred & failing & getting up & being prepared. Still recommend

I’m really glad Moonlight won but disappointed Isabelle Huppert did not.

I sort of couldn’t help but wonder if she actually stood a chance because of how “uncomfortable” “intense” “dark” it makes some feel
