Jamie xx Discusses "Ultramarine" Composition Recorded for London's National Gallery

Update: The video has been taken down.

Jamie xx is involved with Soundscapes, a new exhibit at the National Gallery in London where musicians were invited to create sound installations based on works from the museum’s collection. He chose Théo van Rysselberghe’s painting “Coastal Scene” (seen below) and made a composition called “Ultramarine”. Today, the National Gallery released a video that shows Jamie working on “Ultramarine”, which can also be heard throughout the video, as Young Turks’ creative director and the exhibit’s curator discuss his work. Watch that below. The exhibit is open now, and runs until September 6.
