Mount Eerie, aka Phil Elverum, has announced a new album, the follow up to last year’s Pre-Human Ideas. It’s called Sauna, and it’ll be out in 2015 via his P.W. Elverum & Sun label. He’ll debut “extremely stripped-down” versions of the songs at a forthcoming tour, which kicks off in September. You can check out the schedule below.
According to a press release, the theme of the album is “vikings and zen and real life.” It was recorded over 15 months in Anacortes, Washington.
