M83 Announce Results of Search for New Member

M83 have ended their search for a new singer-keyboardist. Anthony Gonzalez took to Twitter today to announce that Kaela Sinclair has joined the band, beating out hundreds of other applicants. “It was really difficult to choose a new singer for the band,” he tweeted, “but when I saw @kaelasinclair it was obvious she would be perfect!” She’ll be joining M83 on their upcoming tour behind the upcoming album Junk, which they announced this week.
Based in Dallas, TX, Sinclair released her debut album Sun & Mirror in 2013, featuring collaborations with members of the Polyphonic Spree, Midlake, and more. She’s planning to release a new album this spring.
