Lil Wayne Says Tha Carter V Will Be Two ...

Lil Wayne has announced that his upcoming album, Tha Carter V, will be a two-parter, as Billboard points out. The album as originally announced was supposed to drop on October 28, but was pushed back the day before. Now, Wayne has announced a release date for the first part: December 9.  In a video message released on Tuesday, Wayne said he’s choosing from a pool of at least 31 songs. “If I would’ve dropped the album today, it would have to be 12 or 13 songs,” he said. “I refuse to cheat my fans. Starting today, we’ll be streaming live video of most of the performances from the festival via Pitchfork’s homepage, thanks to Culturebox. Check out the streaming schedule below. When the band dissolved, the venue booked a GBV tribute show for that same night. But attendees of the tribute show got a surprise: Robert Pollard and Tobin Sprout showed up to play a set of GBV songs such as “Tractor Rape Chain” and “Game of Pricks”, as the Fire Note points out.
