Lil Wayne has announced that his upcoming album, Tha Carter V, will be a two-parter, as Billboard points out. The album as originally announced was supposed to drop on October 28, but was pushed back the day before. Now, Wayne has announced a release date for the first part: December 9.

In a video message released on Tuesday, Wayne said he’s choosing from a pool of at least 31 songs. “If I would’ve dropped the album today, it would have to be 12 or 13 songs,” he said. “I refuse to cheat my fans. I refuse to cheat myself.” You can watch the whole thing below.

Wayne also shared a new song, “Gotti”, which features the Lox and will appear on the album. You can listen to that below, too. Previously, Wayne had shared songs such as “D’usse”, “Grindin”, and “Krazy”, all of which were teased as album cuts.
