De La Soul recently Kickstarter-funded a new album, their first since 2004′s The Grind Date. Previously, they announced that guests would include Damon Albarn, David Byrne (on a track called “Snoopies”), 2 Chainz (on “Whodini”), and Little Dragon (on “Drawn”). Over the weekend, they added a few more names. Usher, Pete Rock, Roc Marciano, Estelle, and Snoop Dogg will all feature on the record, which is currently being mastered by Bob Power. Surprise: Miley Cyrus has released a new collaborative album with the Flaming Lips called Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. Miley announced the album from the stage of the VMAs, following a performance of the opening track, “Dooo It!”, featuring a posse of drag queens from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” that climaxed in Wayne Coyne shooting smoke guns out of Miley’s crotch.
