Forty years ago, Geoff Travis opened the first Rough Trade record shop in West London. Since then, the stores have expanded globally and there is now a Rough Trade record label. To celebrate the anniversary, Rough Trade has announced a series of concerts at venues across London. The shows feature Rough Trade artists, as well as on-stage collaborations. Among them are the Raincoats performing with Angel Olsen, the Pop Group sharing the stage with Protomartyr, and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor playing with Scritti Politti.
