Grammys 2017: Metallica, John Legend, More to Perform

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards are set take place on February 12. Today, the first round of performers for the show have been announced: Metallica, John Legend, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban will play at the event, which James Corden is hosting. The Grammys take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, and are broadcast at 8 p.m. Eastern on CBS.

Metallica and Carrie Underwood are each up for one award at the 2017 Grammys; Urban received two nominations. Beyoncé leads all artists with nine nominations. Other notable nominees include Rihanna and Drake, who are each up for eight awards, Chance the Rapper (seven nominations), and Adele, who received five nominations.
