Stephen Malkmus Covers Black Crowes, Jarvis Cocker Covers Sham 69 at Vice 20

In December, Vice threw a huge bash celebrating their 20th year as a company. Artists like Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker, Pussy Riot, Lil Wayne, Karen O, Ghostface, Raekwon, Andrew W.K, and Action Bronson, along with Jonah Hill (with Spike Jonze) and Scarlett Johansson, took the stage, backed by a band lead by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner.

Vice has began releasing official videos of the performances. Below, watch Stephen Malkmus cover the Black Crowes’ “Remedy” and Cocker cover Sham 69′s “If the Kids Are United”. (Malkmus reads the lyrics off a smart phone. The YouTube commenters are NOT amused.)

Vice previously shared video of Cocker covering Celine Dion’s “Power of Love” as well as Pussy Riot covering Le Tigre’s “Deceptacon”. (Pussy Riot and Le Tigre members are currently working together.) More official videos, as well as a documentary, are coming.
