Prins Thomas Announces 4xLP Ambient Album Principe Del Norte

Norwegian producer/DJ Prins Thomas‘ new album is a sizable endeavor. His ambient album Principe Del Norte—a 4xLP or 2xCD—is coming February 19 via Smalltown Supersound. Listen to “B” above via NPR.

According to the album’s press release, Thomas left out all conventional drums and drum machines. It was loosely inspired by IDM songs of the 1990s, and the song titles are simply the sides on the vinyl version. “Thomas would recommend finding center position in front of your speakers, a comfortable couch or chair and dedicate yourself to the music for a long hour,” reads the statement.
