Amy Winehouse Biopic Being Developed, Noomi Rapace in Talks to Star

Following the success of Amy, Asif Kapadia’s Amy Winehouse documentary released earlier this year, another film about the life of the late singer is in the works. As The Hollywood Reporter reports, Kristen Sheridan (Dollhouse, August Rush) will write and direct a Winehouse biopic, with Noomi Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus) “in talks” to star.
The biopic isn’t the only Winehouse-related film that may be coming. The late singer’s father Mitch Winehouse, who expressed the family’s displeasure with Kapadia’s film upon its release, says he’s making his own movie.
