ANOHNI Enlists Naomi Campbell for "Drone Bomb Me" Video

ANOHNI (the artist formerly known as Antony)’s new album HOPELESSNESS, co-produced with Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never, is coming soon via Secretly Canadian. It features the previously shared “4 Degrees”, as well as the new single “Drone Bomb Me.” The song will debut today on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, with the video, directed by Nabil and art directed by Riccardo Tisci, coming this evening via Apple Music. The video stars Naomi Campbell. (Nabil also directed the “Cut the World” video, which can be watched below.)

Update (3/9, 2:48 p.m. EST): “Drone Bomb Me” just premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. Listen to it below. Speaking with Mac, ANOHNI described the song as an indictment of the drone campaigns carried out by the United States and elsewhere, delivered from the perspective of a young girl whose family has been killed in a drone strike. She also confirmed HOPELESSNESS‘ release date: May 6.

Additionally, the song’s video just came out (watch it below.) It sees a tearful Campbell singing the song in a dim, smoky room, intercut with some frenzied choreography. HOPELESSNESS‘ entire tracklisting and album art has also been revealed. Find it below.
