Aphex Twin Announces First U.S. Show in Eight Years

The second edition of Houston’s Day for Night festival takes place December 17 and 18. Among the performers is Aphex Twin, a producer for the festival confirmed to Billboard. The appearance will mark Aphex Twin’s first show in the United States in eight years; his last appearance was at Coachella in 2008. Currently, Aphex Twin has no further touring plans, a rep confirmed to Pitchfork. See a teaser for Aphex’s Day for Night appearance below.

Earlier this year, Aphex Twin released a new EP called Cheetah. It followed his trio of 2015 releases: his LP Syro, the Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 EP, and the Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006-2008) EP. Recently, µ-Ziq (aka Mike Paradinas) reissued his album with Aphex Twin, Expert Knob Twiddlers.
