Arcade Fire’s Win Butler Raising Money To Honor Late Friend Mouhamadou Moustapha

Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler is a known basketball aficionado, having played in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game for the past three years. Now, Butler has taken to Twitter to ask fans to donate towards the medical costs of his late friend Mouhamadou “Mouss” Moustapha, who was a basketball teammate of his in New Orleans. Calling him “a really lovely person,” Butler says that he’ll match donations up to $5,000 on anything donated in the next week. Mouss passed away earlier this month after suffering from a heart disease called non-compaction cardiomyopathy. His family is looking to raise funds for the medical expenses “to ensure that Moustapha receives the tribute in which he deserves and to help make this life transition as easy as possible.” Find the GoFundMe here
