Azealia Banks Apologizes for Using Homophobic Slurs

Azealia Banks has shared an apology on her Facebook page. She vows to never use homophobic slurs again. You can read her full apology below. This comes in the wake of her Twitter suspension, partly due to directing a series of racist and homophobic tweets at Zayn Malik, back in May. Banks was dropped from the lineup for Rinse FM’s Born & Bred Festival as a result of the controversy. She also faces potential legal action, from a series of graphic tweets directed at Sarah Palin from April. This isn’t Banks’ first apology in regards to the usage of slurs in the last few weeks. She shared an apology on her Instagram, last month, saying then: “Employing racial/sexual slurs/stereotypes in attempts to make fun of or degrade another person or group is absolutely unacceptable and is not fair or fun for anyone.”
