Bad Boy 20th Anniversary Box Set Features Notorious B.I.G., Puff Daddy, Janelle Monáe, More

Legendary hip-hop label Bad Boy Entertainment has been celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. In May, the label held two “Bad Boy Family Reunion” concerts in Brooklyn (in conjunction with Biggie’s birthday). Later this year, Puff Daddy will hit the road with Lil’ Kim, Mase, French Montana, Faith Evans, and more for a full reunion tour. Now, Bad Boy has announced a box set to mark the anniversary. Out August 12, the box set features 80 tracks across five CDs and includes remastered hits from the Notorious B.I.G., Cassie, French Montana, Nelly, Mase, Janelle Monáe (featuring Miguel), Puffy (under his various aliases), Faith Evans, Yung Joc, the Lox, and many more. In addition, the box set comes with a 64-page historiography and foreword, written by rap journalist Michael A. Gonzales.

In a press release, Puff Daddy said:

Bad Boy helped make hip hop what it is today–and this collection highlights all the music, history and vision that made Bad Boy number 1. We wanted to thank our fans, celebrate the music, the people, and the Bad Boy lifestyle that have defined the past two decades. We’ve always made music that makes the people dance; this collection does all that and more, and it is a celebration of all things Bad Boy.

Puffy served as executive producer of the collection; Bad Boy President Harve Pierre curated and co-executive produced it. Check out the cover art, as well as an unboxing video of the box set below. See the full tracklisting here. Find Puff Daddy and the Family’s upcoming reunion tour dates here.
