BJ the Chicago Kid Announces Debut In My Mind Ft. Kendrick and Chance, Shares “Love Inside” Video

BJ the Chicago Kid has announced his debut album In My Mind. It’s out February 19 via Motown Records, and features guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper (on “Church,”) Big K.R.I.T., and more. BJ has also shared the video for “Love Inside” (featuring Isabella) from the album. Watch it below, and check out the album art and tracklist.

BJ also recently appeared on All Def Digital’s “Arts & Raps” video series, in which artists answer questions posed by little kids. In BJ’s episode, called “Why Does Future Mumble?”, he paints with two little boys, who ask him a slew of questions, including “How should I surprise my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day?” and the titular “Why does Future mumble?” BJ’s answer to the latter is simple: “I think Future just wants you to understand the feeling sometimes. Sometimes it’s about the emotion.” He also talks about Future’s special “sippy cup” that helps him sing. Watch the whole thing below.

The album will be BJ’s second project of 2016. He already released an EP of D’Angelo covers.
