Björk Releasing Career-Spanning Songbook

Recently, Björk opened her virtual reality exhibition, Björk Digital, at London’s Somerset House. The showcase features several VR videos for songs from 2015’s Vulnicura. Now, in a new feature with Crack about the exhibition, Björk has revealed that she is releasing “a new, career-spanning scorebook,” which she’s been working on for the past six years. Also this past weekend, Björk participated in a Reddit AMA. Among her answers, she revealed how she began working with Death Grips (who used her vocals across Niggas on the Moon). She said, “i basically got obsessed with guillotine , the video the song everything !!!!! deathgrips did 2 remixes or remakes to be more accurate of biophilia that were my faves and we have been in touch ever since !!!” She also revealed that she’s a big fan of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and was particularly flattered when a contestant imitated her. “YESSSSSSSS i absolutely loved it,” Björk said. Björk Digital includes the Icelandic artist’s interactive video for “Stonemilker,” the Black Lake film (both collaborations with Andrew Thomas Huang), her “Mouth Mantra” video, and a VR video for “Notget.” As previously announced, the videos are the beginning of a planned full VR album of VulnicuraOn the opening day of the London exhibition, she appeared at the press conference as a live avatar, which mirrored her movements using motion-capture technology.
