Black Keys Cancel Upcoming Tour Dates Due to Patrick Carney’s Shoulder Injury

Earlier this month, The Black Keys‘ Patrick Carney was hospitalized in St. Barths for a dislocated shoulder he suffered after getting hit by a huge wave. Unfortunately, the injury has forced the duo to postpone their upcoming tour: or at least, a slew of international dates. “We are very sorry to have to cancel our upcoming performances through March 10,” the band said in a statement this morning. “Patrick needs time to heal. We thank all of our fans for their support and we’re looking forward to getting back on the road”.

Correction, 1/23 9:03 AM: A previous version of this story stated that the Black Keys planned on rescheduling the missed dates. As a matter of fact, efforts to reschedule the shows fell through, and representatives of the band say that all tickets will be refunded. All dates from March 10 on remain confirmed.
