Bon Iver, Beach House, Jack White, Black Lips, More Donate Items to Studios for Schools Auction

Studio for Schools, a non-profit started by Scott Montoya and operated with his dad, seeks to design and build music and film production studios in low-income schools. In May, a series of live auctions sold off donated rarities from the Black Keys, the Coathangers, Ian MacKaye, Modest Mouse, Tony Hawk, and more. The second round of auctions includes items donated by Third Man and Sub Pop Records, among them records and memorabilia from Bon Iver, Beach House, Jack White, Black Lips, and more. All auctions start December 5.

Items on the auction block include a Black Lips pack with a signed setlist, the Bon Iver pack with several of the band’s records (including 22, A Million), a reissued Nirvana/Jesus Lizard 7” picture disc, the Third Man pack with an exclusive Record Store Day pressing of an Elvis Presley 10” and other Jack White records, signed CDs, LPs, and posters from Magnetic Fields, Superchunk, and Spoon, and a special Record Store Day pressing of Beach House’s Depression Cherry. CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated Scott Montoya was a member of the Growlers. He is no longer part of the band.
