Bon Iver Listening Parties Played 22, A Million on a Boombox

Today, Bon Iver released their first new album in five years, 22, A Million. Earlier in the week, a series of listening events were held around the world with 22, A Million newspapers. Those listening events were played on boomboxes through cassettes. Many fans who attended the event documented the unusual listening experience. Find images below (via SPIN).

The newspapers from the listening events are being sold at auction on Ebay for more than $1,000. The band’s label Jagjaguwar warned fans not to spend money on them today because they have made more and are “working on a plan to get them” to fans.

Gather ’round folks… It’s quiet, but it’s resonating amongst friends #22amillion #boniver #eauclaire
