Cameron Crowe TV Show “Roadies” Canceled

Cameron Crowe’s tour drama “Roadies” has been canceled by Showtime after one season, Variety reports. The series starred Luke Wilson and Carla Gugino as the tour manager and tour production manager for a band called the Staton-House Band. “Thanks to Showtime and J.J. Abrams for the opportunity to make the one and only season of ‘Roadies,’ Crowe wrote in a post on his website. “Though we could tell a thousand more stories, this run ends with a complete ten-hour tale of music and love.” The show had cameos from several musicians including Lindsey Buckingham, John Mellencamp, Lucius, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, Phantogram, Eddie Vedder, Robyn Hitchcock, Jackson Browne, Greg Leisz, Gary Clark Jr. and Nicole Atkins.
