Cassius, Beastie Boys' Mike D, and Cat Power Share Tropical, Bizarre "Action" Video

Last week, French electronic duo Cassius shared “Action,” a new single featuring Cat Power and Mike D of the Beastie Boys. Cassius have now shared the TOILET PAPER-directed music video for the song, which follows the band through a campy, tropical dance party. People in gorilla suits get spanked and eventually toss Cassius into a volcano. The whole thing is completely bizarre. Watch it below.

In an interview with Pitchfork, Mike D said the song captured “that era of a Compass Point record that gets played in the Loft in New York City, but today.”

Correction (3/17 8:09 a.m.): An earlier version of this article stated the video was directed by Yuri Ancarani. The correct credit is to TOILET PAPER.
